this song is just a really cutesy petty song with a lot of jazz scats. it's about realising that you're kind ashamed of a feeling that you had previously (that feeling being, the whole of "GRAD"). a lot of my songs reference times like "4 am" and "3 am" for a very good reason. those times are when your mind is awake and ready to embarrass the sh*t outta you.
